Reflection on formal presentation
Reflection on Mansour’s presentation

Topic: Car Safety
Mansoor introduced the presentation by asking the audience
what is the important thing to do when you want to drive your car. After that he
talked about many types of safety, for example seat belt.
The role of the seat belt and how to check the tires properly was discussed
and the responsibility of the media as a cause of the car accidents
Body language and eye contact were good and
the audience was interested and asked many questions which Abdulla answered
well.
The information on the slides was useful and the slides were clear
and colorful. The text on the slides was minimal and accurate.
What new
did I learn? I learnt about car safety.
1. I learnt how
to check the tires and what type of tires I should use.
2. I learnt what I should do when I get into my car .

Abdulla Ali started the presentation and It was about
Brazil. First he talked about the Brazilian flag and he explained what the
colors mean. After that he explained the map and talked about the capital of
Brazil and the famous cities. He talked about Sao Paulo. After that he talked
about the currency of Brazil.
Mansoor talked about the 2014 world Cup. After that he
explained the logo of the 2014 World Cup and explained what the logo means
The body language for both students was very good and
confident.
Many students asked Abdulla and Mansoor many questions. They
answered well and confidently.

The chairman Hamdan opened the meeting at 10:15
1. New Energy:
Hamdan said its a good idea to use the hydroelectric energy.
Hedley worried about the price of the hydroelectric power because some countries cannot afford it .
Amer said that our country can afford the cost of the hydroelectric power and other alternative energy
Othman said our country can use the solar energy, because there is enough sunlight to produce energy and we can use floating windmills in the sea to produce energy.
2. Uranium energy:
Hamdan said that the uranium energy can be used in any country and it’s cheap and Hedley said it is good idea and Othman said that our country is building a new city called Masdar city that will decreas the CO2 and it uses clean energy. Amer said the government support the clean energy by IRENA meeting.
3. Oil effects on the environment:
Amer said that the oil and the gases affect the environment and we must decrease the CO2. Hedley said that we cannot stop using the oil, because many countries in Europe depend on the oil energy.
4. Europe economy:
Some countries cannot afford the alternative energy, because of economic crises like, Greece and the UK.
In the end we reached the conclusion of:
1. Othman and Amer agreed with Hamdan but Hedley said it’s very expensive.
2. The nuclear energy got positive views from the group.
3. The idea of stoping using oil cannot be applied because some countries can’t use alternative energy.
4. Europe will continue using cheap and harmful energy sources due to economic crises and the high cost of alternative energies.

Reflection
Reflection1:

Interviewers: Hedley, Ahmed Hassan, Mansoor
Position: Chemical engineer, ADNOC
Hedley started the interview by thanking Abdulla and he introduced Ahmed and Mansoor and asked Abdulla to talk about himself. Abdulla said I graduated 2 years ago and had 2 years work experience.
Ahmed asked why should I hire you? Abdulla said I have a degree and more experience. Ahmed asked can you work under pressure? He said I don’t have a problem. Ahmed: why did you choose ADNOC? He said ADNOC is a good company and has a good reputation.
After that Mansoor asked what are your goals? Abdulla said I want to reach a higher position and help my country and children. Mansoor asked what are your greatest weaknesses? Math and calculations. Mansoor: what do you know about ADNOC? It’s a good petroleum company. What are your outside interests? Abdulla said I like to play football.
Hedley closed the interview at 10:30.

Interviewers: Hedley, Mohd Esmail, Mohd Khamis
Hedley welcomed Fahad and thanked him for attending & introduced Jasem & Sultan. Hazza started to talk about himself. He's 30 years old , married and he was working in ADCO as assistant supervisor.
Mohd Esmail asked can you work under pressure? Fahad said I've experience of nightshifts and overtime. Mohd Esmail asked what are your goals? Fahad said I want a good position as manager. Mohd Esmai asked what salary are you looking for? Fahad said I'm looking for the best offer and it would have to be over Dhs 50,000.
Mohd Khamis asked again 2 same questions already asked. Mohd Khamis asked where do you see yourself in 6 years? In an important position. Strengths? I'm sociable and friendly but I can enforce discipline if necessary.
Fahad asked what his job title would be. Hedley said the job title will be Operations Manager.

Interviewers: Hedley, Hazza & Othman
Position: Chemical Engineer
Hedley started the interview by thanking Mansoor and he started talking about himself. Mansoor said I worked in Borouge for 3 years , I’m 25 years old and I’m married but I don’t have children .
Hazza asked what is your greatest weakness? Mansoor said punctuality and some old football injuries. Hazza asked what are your goals? Mansoor said I want to get a higher position and more experience with this company. Where could you improve? Mansoor said by getting more creative lab experience.
Othman asked what are your greatest strengths? Mansoor said lab experience & patience and I like to work in a team. I'm a good communicator. Othman asked can you work under pressure? Mansoor said I can deal with it. Why work for us? Manoor said I want a position where I can use my major to the full.
The interview closed at 1030.
